Another part of this remodel job was fixing the floor.
I was just to prep the floor so the homeowner can floor it himself.
While stripping the floor of it's vinyl overlay, we found another layer of vinyl tiles.

We stripped the floor down to the tongue and groove plank floor.
We also ripped out the expired kitchen cabinets.

A portion of the floor needed a little framing of the joist members to bring it back to flush.

After the floor was stripped, we laid down Tyvek house wrap for a wind breaker.
The old floor was drafty, so we made sure to get under the cabinets also.

The cabinets were then installed over the Tyvek.

Time to screw down the new subfloor overlay.

The floor is now ready for the flooring material that the homeowner wanted to use.
