One of Mr. Sanford's rental units had a wooden window sill that leaked water into the house and he wanted it fixed and sealed.
According to the renter, the water has been leaking in for a number of years.
The steel siding flopped on the wall when touched and dirt sifted out from between the laps, tell tale signs of missing wood.

The visible damage.
Not being able to nail a new sill to missing, rotted lumber, Mr. Sanford decided on repairing the bad section of wall.

We systematically disassembled the wall by removing the siding and laying it aside for reassembly.
We cut through the original lap siding to expose the inner
wall.

The damage.
All damaged wood was removed and replaced.

With fresh wood to nail to, now we can nail the new window sill in.

The repaired sill.
